Founded in 2003 by Chris Trifonov in Toronto, Dives was born from a legacy of craftsmanship, dedication, and a passion for woodworking. Chris, a graduate of the Technical School of Interior Design and Woodworking in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, comes from a third generation of exceptional woodworkers and designers. His journey into the world of fine woodworking began in 1998 when he moved to Chicago, where he honed his craft under the mentorship of one of the finest craftsmen in the industry.

Chris’s meticulous attention to detail and his pursuit of perfection quickly earned him recognition from some of the most esteemed designers in the United States. He worked on a variety of high-profile projects, from exclusive interior designs to finely crafted custom millwork that was celebrated for its flawless quality and innovative design.

A Family-Run Business

At the heart of Dives is not only Chris’s passion for woodworking but also the unwavering support of his wife, Boyana, and their two sons, Dimitar and Veselin. Boyana has been the fundamental pillar of support for the family, playing an essential role behind the scenes. As the office administrator, she ensures that the business operations run smoothly, handling everything from paperwork to scheduling. Her dedication extends far beyond just the office; as a strong, nurturing presence, she provides the emotional support that is crucial for maintaining balance and driving the business forward.

Boyana’s role as a female leader within the company is invaluable. She brings a unique perspective, helping shape the company’s values and approach. We recognize the importance of strong female leadership, and her influence is integral to our continued growth and success.

A New Chapter: Dimitar’s Influence

As Dives continues to grow, we are excited to introduce the newest member of the team—Dimitar, Chris’s son. With a degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Guelph, Dimitar brings a fresh, modern perspective to the business. His business-oriented ideas and knowledge of emerging technologies have been instrumental in driving the company forward, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving industry. Dimitar’s passion for woodworking and dedication to the craft is evident in everything he does.
